Andy Carroll involved in restaurant row with drunk Chelsea fan who tried to shift him

Poor Andy

By all accounts, Andy Carroll had a pretty interesting weekend.

A day after scoring the winner in West Ham’s 2-1 win over Chelsea, the English striker went to a Japanese restaurant with a group of friends.

The 26-year-old had yet to order at Roka Japanese restaurant in Canary Wharf when a drunken Chelsea fan reportedly began to give him trouble.

The Sun reported that “shocked onlookers” recounted how red wine was hurled during an altercation that ensued between Carroll and the Blues fan.

One bystander explained that it all kicked off when the fan tried to lobe the gob on the footballer.

“A man, who was in a group of Chelsea fans, tried to go up and kiss him, which led to a skirmish.

“Carroll hadn’t even had food or a drink at that point when the hammered geezer started giving him shit.”

While it seemed like a pretty awful time for poor Andy, one eyewitness enjoyed the dramatic scenes at the restaurant a little too much.
