Andrey Arshavin might have taken a few steps back in his career of late, but he seems to be back enjoying his football at last.
The former Arsenal forward has struggled through the last three seasons in Russia, and has considered retiring from the game on at least one occasion.
But he joined Kazakh team FC Kairat on an initial one-year deal and has been enjoying his best goalscoring season since 2010/11.

Arshavin is 35-years-old, but judging from his goal in the recent victory over Taraz he still has quite a bit to offer.
The close control and deft finish are something Gunners fans saw plenty of in the Russian’s first few months at the club, but these moments became fewer and further between as his time in London drew on.
In fact, we’re tempted to say this goal is better than anything Arshavin ever produced in England – yes, even that four-goal performance against Liverpool.

Arshavin might not have been the most consistent player throughout his career, but he’s always been capable of isolated moments of genius.
And, sure enough, the goal for Kairat had more than a few Arsenal fans pining for the days when he was a first-team fixture.
