It’s a good day for James McClean.
It was unlikely that the Derry man was going to remain with Wigan after the Latics were relegated to League One, but it was important for Irish football that the winger move to the top flight rather than remain in the Championship.
West Brom boss Tony Pulis obviously likes what McClean can do, because he has signed him for the Baggies ahead of next season.

McClean’s reducer upon coming on against Poland is definitely what grabbed Pulis’ attention. A tackle like this is exactly the sort of thing that we expect from teams managed by the man in the peaked cap.
