Not all heroes wear capes, some don water-proof training kits.
There’s going to be areal party atmosphere in Birmingham for the next few days.
With both Nottingham Forest and Blackburn Rovers winning their respective matches in the final round, Birmingham City needed to beat Bristol City to ensure they lived to fight in the Championship for another season.
They didn’t have to wait long for the breakthrough. Just 16 minutes into the game at Ashton Gate, Che Adams got the game’s opener. His effort turned out to be the only goal of the game leaving a very nervy 75 plus minutes for the away side trying to avoid the drop.
The sound of that final whistle was like beautiful music to the ears of players and fans alike.

Bullet dodged, job done, time to start the festivities.
A great photo of club kitman Jon Pearce doing a beer run for the team bus began doing the rounds on social media after the game. One quick glance, and it’s easy to see why it’s so popular.
However, a deeper gawk will give you a newfound appreciation each time. Is that a fur coat and fedora, for example?
