Perhaps with good reason, Liverpool fans are quite excited about their team having a new goalkeeper.
Alisson Becker became the most expensive ‘keeper in football history when he finalised his move from Roma earlier this summer – a move which Jurgen Klopp insists had absolutely nothing to do with Loris Karius’ Champions League final showing.
Karius, who was later found to have had concussion, was responsible for Real Madrid’s first and third goals in their 3-1 win in Kiev. Despite this, Klopp insisted over the weekend that Alisson would have been a goalkeeper Liverpool would’ve moved for regardless.
While he’s yet to make his first appearance in a Liverpool shirt, the Brazilian has now joined up with his new teammates following his involvement in the World Cup.
Footage of him making an impressive save in his first training session has since been shared by the club’s official Twitter account, swiftly collecting plenty of retweets from excited supporters.

The Reds signed off their pre-season tour of North America with a 4-1 victory over Manchester United in Michigan at the weekend. They are now at a training camp in France as preparations for the new campaign continue.
Understandably, Liverpool fans will be looking forward to seeing how their new number one gets on in his first appearance for the club. Klopp confirmed over a week ago that this is likely to come during the preseason friendly with Napoli in Dublin on Saturday.
After the game in Ireland, they will host Torino at Anfield for their final preseason game on August 7.
Their opening Premier League game sees them take on West Ham at home on August 12.
