Alejandro Garnacho makes young Man United fan cry with thoughtful gift

Day = made

Alejandro Garnacho surprised a young Manchester United fan with a gift on Monday.

Garnacho returned to training the day after scoring a spectacular overhead kick in United’s 3-0 win against Everton on Sunday.

Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial were also on the scoresheet as Erik ten Hag’s side moved to within six points of league leaders Arsenal.

One young United supporter, named George, waited outside to congratulate the players and spotted Garnacho as he was leaving Carrington.

George asked for the 19-year-old to sign the photo of his wonder goal before telling him it was the best he’s “ever seen” and was even better than Wayne Rooney’s against Manchester United in 2011.

While Garnacho didn’t agree on the Rooney comparisons, he did sign the photo before providing the ultimate surprise as he gave George his Ronaldo-inspired Nike Mercurial Vapor 15 Dream Speed 7 boots – the same pair in which he scored his greatest ever goal in just the day before.

As George went to ask for the winger to sign the boots, Garnacho was one step ahead, leaving a message that read: “For my friend George with love, happy birthday”.

His kindness reduced George to tears as he thanked his United hero before calling the number 17 “the best in the world”.

George and his brother Harry have regularly interacted with Garnacho and went viral back in September after he gifted the sibling duo brand new shirts with his name on the back.

The clip, which was posted online, has over 500,000 views.
