Anywhere but the face
We’re a little bit sad tonight but also somewhat hopeful that one of our favourite characters in world football will be back in gainful employment soon.
I mean, what kind of world do we live in when a Premier League manager isn’t demoted for grabbing a player around the throat, but a football man, a man of deep deep passion such as Miguel Herrera is sacked, for punching a journalist.
I mean he had just guided his country to yet another Gold Cup title courtesy of a 3-1 win versus Jamaica when he was allegedly questioned by Azteca television commentator Christian Martinoli at Philadelphia International Airport.
Herrera didn’t like the questions being asked, and is alleged to have punched the member of the Fourth-Estate in the neck.
The Mexican football President came out almost immediately to condemn the incident
Herrera should not be that surprised at his exit as ESPN provided this stat of the amount of managers the country has gone though recently

Whatever about the present at least we’ll always have last year’s World Cup
