Adebayo “The Beast” Akinfenwa explains what he’d do if Diego Costa ever started on him

Succinct, but scary

There are unconfirmed reports that those at EA Sports HQ spent millions on trying to get their skill ratings up to 105 in order to properly convey the freakish power of Adebayo Akinfenwa.

OK, we made that up but the Wimbledon striker is almost universally regarded as the strongest player in world football.

We can think of nothing more terrifying than having “The Beast” square up to us after we tugged a little too aggressively on his jersey at a set piece.

And Akinfenwa recently revealed just how he’d deal with the shenanigans of Diego Costa if the Chelsea nuisance ever got in his face.

“If it came down to it, I’d have to snooze Diego Costa,” Akinfenwa said at a Fifa 16 launch event.

Costa’s bad-boy reputation has continued to grow since arriving from Atletico Madrid last summer and the most recent incident took place last weekend when he put his hands in the face of Arsenal’s Laurent Koscielny, for which he was subsequently charged for violent conduct, and got Gabriel Paulista sent off.

We’d pay good money to see the striker super-fight but we’d have to agree with Bayo’s prediction for the bout.

“There’s only one winner if he comes up against me.”
