This will be Aaron Ramsey’s final season at Arsenal Football Club
Having arrived as a promising youngster ten years ago, Ramsey’s future has looked uncertain in recent weeks after reports claiming an offer of a new contract had been withdrawn by the club without giving any explanation as to why.
Following this, it’s now being reported by Sky Sports that discussions between the midfielder and the club took place over the weekend, where it was made clear that Ramsey would not be offered a new deal.
The Welshman is said to have accepted that his future now lies away from the north London club, with Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United already mentioned in the press as possible next destinations.
Over the last decade, Ramsey has made 341 appearances for the Gunners, scoring 59 goals – two of which were FA Cup final winners.
He was considered a key player towards the end of Arsene Wenger’s time as manager, and has also made 16 appearances under new boss Unai Emery – including six Premier League starts.
Ramsey appeared as a substitute in Arsenal’s 2-2 draw away at Crystal Palace at the weekend, a result which leaves them fourth in the Premier League with 22 points.
