Aaron Ramsey responds to the “most ridiculous rumour” started about him

A-listers, beware

Aaron Ramsey rejects the notion that he’s the “Grim Reaper of football”.

For a while there, it looked like Aaron Ramsey would soon overtake drug overdose as the leading cause of celebrity deaths.

This is because of a strange phenomenon:; whenever the Welshman scores a goal, a high profile personality usually dies.

Al Qaeda leader Osama Bin Laden was shot dead by US Navy Seals the day after Ramsey scored against Manchester United. Less than 72 hours later after scoring against Tottenham Hotspur, Apple CEO Steve Jobs died. Also, His brace against Cardiff to kick off the 2012/13 season was followed by the news that Fast and Furious star Paul Walker had passed on.

Robin Williams, Colonel Muammar Gaddafi, Whitney Houston and Sir Richard Attenborough are just some of the people who have died soon after a Ramsey goal.

The Arsenal midfielder admitted it was a strange coincidence, although he washed his hands of having any responsibility for any celebrity deaths.

“The most ridiculous rumour I’ve heard is that people die after I score. There have been loads of occasions where I’ve scored and somebody has died.

“It’s just a crazy rumour. Although I took out some baddies!”

Oh yeah, take the credit for Bin Laden and Gaddafi, but when Williams gets caught in crossfire, it’s just a “crazy rumour”.

We’re on to you, Aaron.
