Aaron Ramsey looked absolutely done with Arsene Wenger during Liverpool defeat

Actions speak louder than words.

We’re only one game into the season, but already the pressure is on Arsenal.

Fans have pleaded with Arsene Wenger for seemingly ever to sign a striker to bolster their attacking options, but the Frenchman has yet to do so.

And having come into the season with something of an injury crisis at centre-back – with the first three choices of Per Mertesacker, Laurent Koscielny and Gabriel Paulista missing the opening game – the Gunners were forced to start their campaign with Calum Chambers and new signing Rob Holding as their defensive bedrock.

It didn’t work out at all for the North Londoners, who shipped four goals to a striker-less Liverpool and slumped to a 4-3 defeat at home.

Fans furiously booed on the final whistle, but during all of this, what do the players think?

Newly-minted Arsenal captain Per Mertesacker has already acknowledged his side’s failure to sign a striker, but for the most part the players have toed the company line and said nothing.

Unfortunately for Aaron Ramsey, a picture is worth a thousand words. The Welshman was replaced by Santi Cazorla at the hour mark after he picked up an injury that looks to keep him out for around a month.

We’re not exactly sure if this was taken at full-time or just during the game, but we do know that Aaron Ramsey looks about read to rip his manager’s head off.

Maybe they were projecting, but Arsenal fans felt like Ramsey knew where the blame for Sunday’s defeat lies…

After the match, Wenger admitted he rushed Ramsey back too soon.

We can’t imagine that will do much to repair the relationship.
