‘Only took six years and a new hairline’
Aaron Ramsdale joked with Rob Holding about his ‘new hairline’ after the defender scored in the Gunners’ important victory over West Ham United on Sunday.
Mikel Arteta’s men secured a 2-1 win against David Moyes’ side, with centre-backs Gabriel and Holding both getting on the scoresheet at the London Stadium.
Holding opened the scoring for the away side in the 38th minute – heading home from Bukayo Saka’s corner. However, the Hammers responded well and levelled proceedings through Jarrod Bowen just before half-time.
Brazilian defender Gabriel made it 2-1 in the 54th minute, heading past Łukasz Fabiański in the West Ham goal.

Speaking to Sky Sports in a post-match interview, Holding was discussing his goal before the England goalkeeper jokingly interrupted him.
“Yeah, I mean I’ve scored a few Carabao Cup goals, but it’s nice to get my first Premier League goal and hopefully we can build on that and get some more,” said the defender.
Ramsdale replied: “It’s only took six years and a new hairline!”
The Gunners centre-back responded by saying: “Oh come on mate” before the pair the enjoyed a laugh.
