We've opted for a back three of reported transfer targets.
Raphael Varane has been linked with a move to United several times in the past, and this summer is no different. Zinedine Zidane is said to have convinced the French defender to join Real Madrid ahead of United back in 2011. Will the Madrid manager be able to convince him to stay this summer? Almost certainly.
Beside him is Tottenham Hotspur's Eric Dier.
Mauricio Pochettino sees him as back-up to Vincent Wanyama and predominately plays him in central defence. Jose Mourinho reportedly sees him as a long-term replacement to Michael Carrick but football fans appear to view him as the new John O'Shea.
Somehow, that's all combined to make Spurs put a £50m price tag on Dier.

Michael Keane was, like Paul Pobga, a promising youth player allowed to leave Old Trafford. Like Pogba, he impressed at his new club and began to be linked with a return to United. Will the Burnley defender re-join like Pogba did? Will he have his own emoji and dab with Jesse Lingard? Watch this space #KeaneBack.
In the left-wing back position, there's one of the stranger links this summer. Apparently, United have approached Barcelona about signing Jordi Alba. Will it happen? Definitely not.
On the opposite flank is Ivan Perisic. The Inter Milan winger has been linked with United since the end of last season, and is possibly the most likely player on this list to sign for the club.
In midfield, there's Fabinho and Radja Nainggolan. Fabinho has said he would be interested in moving to Mourinho's team, And according to reports in Italy, Nainnggolan will, like Dier, be Carrick's successor.
Up front, we're spoiled for options. Cristiano Ronaldo starts for this team, but he probably won't be starting for United next season, despite reports last week linking him with a return.

But Alvaro Morata could very well end up at United. Mourinho is reportedly a big fan and the player isn't a regular at Real Madrid, so this deal could very happen before the season starts.
For the final place, we could have included Gareth Bale, Neymar, Kylian Mbappe, Andrea Belotti or even Antoine Griezmann.
However, we've opted for Harry Kane, because according to reports, Mourinho has told the United board to spend £100m on the striker. If reports are to be believed then, Spurs will get £150m from United for Dier and Kane. That's the new White Hart Lane paid for.
Here's the full team of players United have been linked with this summer:
