For most of us, Christmas is a happy time but some of us will think of those people that we can’t be with at this special time of year.
Although this is a serious point, a glance in the Liverpool Echo’s classifieds reveals that Liverpool fans might be able to see the lighter side of things.
Some mischievous fans have suggested that former Reds boss Brendan Rodgers might be thinking of one of his former players this Christmas.
Under the name Jordan Henderson, a short message can be seen supposedly from someone called Brendan.

Rodgers’ appreciation for Jordan Henderson was obvious when he named him captain after the departure of Steven Gerrard last summer.
“I wanted to look at someone who would be a great ambassador on and off the field because it’s not just about captaining Liverpool, you have a huge responsibility for the players and the supporters on a worldwide basis.
“So it was going to take somebody who is going to be strong-willed and has a strong mentality, but is also a wonderful role model.”
It was captain Henderson who had to convey the news to the other players when Rodgers was sacked back in October.
