A lot of people weren’t happy with Eamon Dunphy’s criticism of two German stars

Dunphy strikes again

It wouldn’t be an Ireland match without Eamon Dunphy making a comment that gets a strong reaction from the public.

The controversial pundit is in the studio for Ireland’s phenomenal win over World Cup holders Germany in the Euro 2016 qualifiers.

During the pre-match build up, Dunphy took aim at two players in the German starting XI who he seems to think are a little bit overrated.

Dunphy publicly stated the Mats Hummels and Jerome Boeteng to be “not great”, and his choice of phrasing is something a hell of a lot people took issue with.

Some labelled him as a clown, others called him deluded but pretty much everyone disagreed with Dunphy.
