The power of the internet strikes again.
Liverpool fans’ patience with Brendan Rodgers appears to be growing less and less every day, and after yet another disappointing result the knives are well and truly out for the Irishman.
Rodgers has lost twice this season already, suffering a 3-0 home loss to West Ham, followed by the 3-1 reversal to Manchester United last Sunday.
And one Liverpool fan has had enough of the former Swansea boss as well as his incessant use of the word ‘character’ and thinks he’s found a foolproof way of getting rid of the Reds’ boss.
A Liverpool supporter called Michael Gavin, who’s from Clare, has set up a ‘Go Fund Me’ page to try and raise the cash required to get the Antrim native sacked.
Unfortunately the page requires the bones of about £7million or €10million to come anywhere near trying to reach what it might cost for the Liverpool board to sack the man who almost won the Premier League two seasons ago.
Michael explains his decision to seek the sackings of the Rodgers and why he’s gone down the untried crowdfunding approach to managerial dismissals.
“Brendan Rodgers’ time is up. There’s not much more of this insipid football anyone can take, from the horrific signings to the tired cliches used in the media week in week out enough is enough.
“It’s reported that it will take 10,000,000 to sack him so this page has been set up to show FSG that LFC fans are so desperate to get rid off him that we are willing to pay for his sacking. Please donate whatever money you can and share this page across all your social media pages.”
But unfortunately the page has not quite had the success that Galvin may have been hoping for with just THE €65 euro raised so far.
He admits that the approach isn’t going to work but feels that the campaign will be worth it to raise issues surrounding the future of the Liverpool boss.
If you’d like to donate, the page is available to access here.
