After being a goal down at half-time, Roy Hodgson’s England seemed low on ideas.
But the England coach sent on Jamie Vardy and Daniel Sturridge for the second half and both scored to secure three points for Hodgson.
The bold move from Hodgson (he also threw on Marcus Rashford as England went for broke) may well have saved his job. And, apparently The Queen, according to French television.

Would she really have been at risk and forced to abdicate had Wales prevailed and England crashed out of the Euros in the group stage? Probably not.
But it’s nice to pretend.
