Goalkeeping is a tricky business
Make a mistake, the chances are it’ll prove enormously costly. Do it at a high enough level, such errors then end up on social media, being shared high and wide.
Sadly, that’s what happened to poor Declan Rudd on Saturday afternoon.
Early in the second half against Birmingham City, the Preston North End goalkeeper let a seemingly harmless shot from distance from Maikel Kieftenbeld slip through his legs, gifting the Blues a lead.

The goal sent Birmingham on their way to a comfortable 3-0 victory at St Andrew’s, goals from Jaques Maghoma and Cher Adams following later in the second half.
