World Cup winners France smashed in three first-half goals to get their European championship qualification campaign off to a flying start in Moldova.
Goals from Antoine Griezmann, Raphael Varane and Olivier Giroud set up a substantial lead for Didier Deschamps’ side with Griezmann’s opener proving to be quite spectacular.

France worked the ball from the right wing and Pogba shaped to shoot before delicately lifting the ball over the Moldovan defence and into the path of the waiting Griezmann who buried the ball first time past the goalkeeper and into the back of the net.
Pogba has been fortunate to play with an array of talented players during his time with Manchester United, Juventus and France but he singled out Kylian Mbappe and Marcus Rashford as the future of football.
“It helps me because they are both fast,” the Frenchman told Eurosport. “They call for the ball a lot which helps me when I have the ball.
“They call for it, I try to make the best pass and they finish – so it benefits me. I like playing with young talented players like them.
“They are the future of football and my partnership with them is good.”
