17-year-old Manchester United striker’s highlight reel will get fans excited

Manchester United forward Mason Greenwood looks set to break into the first-team squad at Old Trafford after lighting it up for the club’s underage sides.

Greenwood has scored 23 goals in 19 starts across a number of age groups this year and recently scored a hat-trick in Manchester United’s 4-3 Youth Cup win over Chelsea.

The 17-year-old has been tipped for big things at the club and a video of his highlight reel makes for an impressive viewing with the striker able to finish off both feet.

Greenwood was named on the bench for United’s final Champions League Group game against Valencia earlier this month and new manager Ole Gunnar Solsjkaer said that he would look to bleed some new talent into his squad as they attempt to move on from the Jose Mourinho era at the club.

“Young players will definitely get a chance – that is a big part of this job,” Solskjaer said last week.

“It’s part of the tradition and history of the club to give young players a chance. I will speak to Nicky Butt because he will know who is ready and at some point in the New Year it will happen.

“It’s a big part of my job now. I have been on the other side, working with the reserves. I know how important it is to see that link to the first team.”
