You don’t see this every day.
Katie Taylor had far too much speed and precision for Viviane Obenauf in Manchester, tonight, and claimed her second professional victory by a unanimous points decision.
Taylor caused Obenauf, who fights out of Switzerland, major issues from the get-go and rarely looked in trouble. Considering Obenauf entered the contest at 9-1 in 10 pro fights, Taylor’s win was a nice marker to lay down to her division.
One of the main talking points in the six-round fight came in the closing stages as Obenauf, with a nasty cut above her eye, appeared to aim a tender kiss at Taylor’s neck while she was in the clinch.
Fight fans watching the match-up, could not quite believe their eyes.
Was that a little kiss on the neck between from Viviane Obenauf to Katie Taylor??? #JoshuaMolina #katietaylor

All those years in Switzerland have turned Obenauf, a Brazilian native, into an all-round European.
Diarmuid Connolly makes his long overdue GAA Hour debut and talks to Colm Parkinson about everything from the black card to his rivalry with Lee Keegan and how he honed the ability to kick accurately with either foot.
