This is how you train for a Belfast bout.

This is how you train when you’re fighting in front of your home crowd for the first time in over two years.

This is how you train when you’re a Conlan.

Jamie Conlan is ready for war. The elder brother of amateur sensation Michael means business. The undefeated 30-year-old is going to hit the ring dancing and swinging on November 5 when he joins Paddy Barnes for his pro debut at the Titanic Exhibition Centre and, if his training is anything to go by, his record could soon be stretching to 18-0.

The super flyweight hasn’t fought in Belfast since September of 2014 when he won the WBO Inter-Continental title but by God he’s going to make a splash in the city on his return.

He’s had two fights this year across the Irish Sea, knocking out the previously undefeated Anthony Nelson and putting manners on Patrik Bartos in Wales. But now it’s time to come home.

In preparation, Conlan has been in Marbella being put through his paces and it’s safe to say his paces are manic.

Followed by Darragh Bambrick, this short documentary gives an eye-opening insight into the life of a professional boxer.

Colm Parkinson is joined by Paul Rouse for a heated debate about Sky Sports’ five-year GAA deal and an exclusive chat with AFL star Zach Tuohy on the new GAA Hour. Subscribe here on iTunes
