WATCH: Former world champion boxer Victor Ortiz attacked by angry fan following knockout loss

After suffering another knockout loss, an enraged fan decided that Victor Ortiz fresh wound needed a dash of salt.

Saturday night’s big boxing clash saw former WBC welterweight champion Ortiz (31-6-2, 24 KOs) take on two-time world champion Andre Berto (31-4, 24 KOs) in a rematch of their 2011 Fight of the Year.

This time around, it was far from a 12-round classic as Ortiz suffered his fourth knockout loss in six bouts. Berto avenged his loss five years ago by stopping Ortiz with two knockdowns in the fourth round.

However, the action didn’t stop for Ortiz when the fight was ended. While he was exiting the ring and walking back to the dressing room, an extremely vexed fan threw some projectiles at the pugilist and began swinging digs at security and members of Ortiz’s team. Ortiz was quickly removed from the situation by his entourage and brought back stage.
