Mickey Rourke made a successful return to the boxing ring tonight, finishing a man more than half his age.
The 62-year-old went head-to-head with Elliot Seymour, 29, in an exhibition bout in Moscow tonight.
And Rourke, who is famous for his roles in films such as 9 1/2 Weeks and The Wrestler, stopped his opponent after dropping him twice in the second round.
It was a body shot that initially dropped Seymour, a former Golden Gloves champion who is currently ranked 256th in the U.S.A.
The series of events leading to the finish may arouse some suspicions but we’re staying well clear of that.
The win pushes Rourke’s professional boxing record to 7-0-2 but it was the first time that the actor, who allegedly lost more than 30lbs to make weight for the bout) took to the ring in 20 years.
As you can see from the video, the finish was hardly a masterclass in technical boxing but hey, he’s 62, so shut your face!
