"This is what boxing's about!"

Having won the battle of the gloves, Tyson Fury had the crowd in the palm of his hand.

The heavyweight challenger had a workout in Dusseldorf Airport this afternoon ahead of his world title fight with Wladimir Klitschko on Saturday night.

Afterwards he treated those in attendance – including a bemused looking Klitschko – to a rendition of the Bette Midler tear-jerker ‘Wind Beneath My Wings’.

Obviously.

It went down a treat, with one fight fan roaring out “This is what boxing’s about!” during the emotional ballad.

Fury hasn’t got a bad voice on him to be fair and he has something to sing about, as his manager Mick Hennessy revealed the Irish traveller had won the battle of the gloves.

“They were messing us about big time and if we hadn’t made a public fuss with that row at the press conference the gloves wouldn’t have materialised,” Hennessy told the Daily Mail.

It means Fury will be able to wear his preferred  ‘Reyes’ gloves, as opposed to Klitschko’s choice, ‘Paffen’.

Watch Fury celebrate below by belting out a power ballad, which he dedicated to IBF, IBO, WBO and WBA champion Klitschko.
