VIDEO: Gary Spike O’Sullivan smacker sparks brawl at Chris Eubank Jr weigh in

A kiss with a fist is better than none

Spike O’Sullivan is some boyo.

The Cork boxer and Chris Eubank will go toe-to-toe tomorrow night in the final eliminator for the WBA World Middleweight title.

The two men have been engaged in a lot of verbal sparring ahead of the fight, which takes place as part of the undercard for the Anthony Joshua and Dillian Whyte bout.

O’Sullivan has promised to knock Eubank out when they meet, while the Englishman has been aggrieved at previous comments allegedly made by O’Sullivan about his family on social media.

Eubank this week warned O’Sullivan not to try the same stunt he pulled back in November 2014 when he planted a kiss on opponent Anthony Fitzgerald which Eubank called disrespectful.

“Gary O’Sullivan open-mouth kissed his last opponent in a face-off. It’s disgraceful and because of that, he lost the privilege of facing off with me. He might be able to at the weigh-in and if he still wants a kiss at that time, he can try his luck and see what happens.”

“It’s extremely unprofessional and I don’t think he deserves to face-off with anyone after that. I try not to think about it but I’m going to do everything I can to make sure he has the hardest time possible if he’s going to pull a stunt like that.”

Clearly the Irishman didn’t get the memo as he leaned in for a smooch in today’s tense face off between the two men at the weigh in

The kiss made a bad day even worse for Eubank as he came in overweight for the fight

Fans watching felt it was a bold, but perhaps foolhardy, move:
