Michael Conlan has already made history.
He’s already secured at least a silver medal in the World Boxing Championships. He’s already booked his place in Rio. And he’s already become the first ever Irish fighter to medal at the Olympics, the Commonwealths and the Worlds.
But, in a way, he’s only getting started.
The Belfast boxer heads into Wednesday night’s World Championship final in Doha (7pm RTÉ2) confident as ever and, as he aims to cap off a fantastic year with more gold, he’s only getting the afterburners pumping on his road to Rio.
