Video: 46-year-old Roy Jones Jr still has that thunderous knockout power

Hands like cinder blocks

Ben Kiely

At 46-years-young, Roy Jones Jr is still dusting fools for fun.

Former multi-division titleholder Jones Jr is still fighting and still knocking dummies out. The American pugilist registered a sixth-round knockout against Eric Watkins (12-10-2, 5 KOs) on Sunday, laying his opponent out with a stiff left hook.

While Jones controlled the fight and must be commended for getting the finish, his opponent was of a very poor standard.

The sad side of this story is that although he has absolutely nothing left to prove, he’s still has two more fights lined up with the promotion.

If seeing a former great pummeling a human punching bag senseless isn’t bad enough, then his post-fight interview will be enough to bring a tear to any hardcore boxing fans eye.

How times have changed.
