Fury vs Usyk 2: Start time, how to watch, and fight card

SportsJOE

“A little bit less clowning around and a bit more focus and that’s it, really.”

Tyson Fury is looking for revenge on Oleksandr Usyk after the Ukrainian gave him his first professional defeat when the pair met in Riyadh last May.

That bout in Saudi Arabia was won by split decision, with Usyk retaining his WBA, WBO, IBF, IBO and The Ring heavyweight titles, while taking Fury’s WBC title off him.

The WBA, WBC, and WBO will be up for grabs this weekend.

After the fight, Fury said: “I believe he won a few of the rounds, but I won the majority. His country is at war, so people are siding with the country at war. Make no mistake, I won that fight, in my opinion.

“It was one of the daftest decisions in boxing. I’ll be back.”

Usyk was more than happy to agree to a rematch immediately after, he added: “Thank you so much to my team. It’s a big opportunity for my family, for me, for my country. It’s a great time, it’s a great day.

“I am ready for a rematch.”

What have the fighters said?

Fury: “I’ll just throw more this time. Keep hitting him in the face more often than I did last time.

“I’m just going to box smart, box clever and if I catch him, get him out of there. Pretty similar to what I did last time. A little bit less clowning around and a bit more focus and that’s it, really.”

Usyk: “Against Fury, it wasn’t me who decided this – it was the heavenly virtues who decided this was the way I would win [decision not KO]. But, if I have an opportunity to knock out Tyson Fury in the rematch, I will take it.”
