Tyson Fury knows the importance of striking while the iron’s hot.
To ensure that he’s next up for Anthony Joshua, Fury waited all of five minutes to offer his reaction to Saturday night’s main event which saw ‘AJ’ stop Wladimir Klitschko in the 11th round.
Joined by the likes of WBC champion Deontay Wilder, WBO champion Joseph Parker and new addition to the heavyweight division, Tony Bellew, as potential challengers for Joshua, who finds himself the biggest draw in the division, Fury is keen to set himself apart from the rest.
In the fight-hyping stakes, Fury stands head and shoulders above the other potential opponents and he’s got the war of words started early by letting Joshua’s promoter, Eddie Hearn, know that he’s available.
@EddieHearn @SkySportsBoxing whenever you want that weightlifting punk spanked let me know. I'm not 41✊🏻✊🏻✊🏻✊🏻✊🏻 #1

Fury is currently immersed in training in Marbella, having insisted that he’s put his dark days behind him so that he can focus on making those close to him proud again.
Joshua is well aware that this heavyweight clash opposite Fury, with undefeated records on the line as well as world titles, would be the most lucrative option on the table right now.
Fury’s name was the first on the lips of ‘AJ’ after he’d stopped Klitschko late on at Wembley Stadium.
“Fury, Tyson Fury, where you at baby” Joshua asked from the ring.
AJ CALL OUT: "@Tyson_Fury, where you at baby?!" 👀

“Come on. Is that what you want to see? I enjoy fighting, I love fighting!
“Tyson Fury, I know he’s been talking a lot and he wants to come back and compete – I want to give 90,000 people another chance to watch a lovely night of boxing.
“I just want to fight everyone. I’m really enjoying this right now.”
And it was very much ‘challenge accepted’ from Fury, who hasn’t fought since claiming a comprehensive unanimous decision victory over Klitschko in Dusseldorf in 2015.
@anthonyfjoshua challenge accepted. We will give the world 🌎 the biggest fight in a 500 years. I will play with u. You are a boxers dream.
