Tyson Fury found Deontay Wilder’s official weight absolutely hilarious

The size difference is no joke

There might be just two inches between Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder in height but there will be a significant size difference between the heavyweight rivals on Saturday night.

Fury weighed in more than three stone heavier than Wilder when the pair took to the scales in Los Angeles on Friday afternoon.

After completing a remarkable weight loss journey which saw him drop down from 400lbs, Fury weighed in at 256.5lbs ahead of his first world title fight since his comeback while Wilder came in at just 212.5lbs.

Fury found the weight discrepancy hilarious and couldn’t contain his laughter while the pro-Fury crowd chanted “you big dosser” in Wilder’s direction.

The traditional weigh-in face-off required more organisation than usual as Fury and Wilder stood several feet apart in order to avoid a repeat of the fracas at Wednesday’s press conference.

Fury was the more vocal man during the final staredown before fight night while Wilder, complete with facemask, stood still and silent.

“He is flapping. His arse is flapping,” Fury said when asked what he saw in Wilder’s eyes.

“He doesn’t want to be in this fight and he’s going to get knocked out, all 212lbs of him.”
