Tyson Fury isn’t resting on his laurels.
Friday’s news that the World Boxing Council had voted to sanction a direct rematch of Tyson Fury vs. Deontay Wilder has clearly lit a fire under ‘The Gypsy King’ as he was back in the gym bright and early the very next day.
Many feel that Fury was robbed of the win which would have cemented one of boxing’s greatest ever comebacks when a split draw was announced at last weekend’s meeting of undefeated heavyweights in Los Angeles.
Despite the fact that a mandatory challenger exists in the form of Dominic Breazeale, the WBC felt that the right thing to do would be to see Fury and Wilder run it back as soon as possible in order to settle the score.
And Fury has not wasted any time, recording himself on a treadmill on Saturday morning and announcing that he was “back on the road again.”

He added: “I’ve got to get this weight down, get the big fight again and rock this joint.”
Fury’s promoter Frank Warren has revealed that the rematch will likely take place in the spring of next year and the Brit’s camp is hoping to have the fight take place in a UK stadium, with Fury pushing for Old Trafford in the summer.
