A fan favourite looks set to return.
In terms of gifted actors that have the world at their feet, Michael B. Jordan is at the very top of the list. Ever since his breakthrough performance in The Wire, the actor has consistently delivered some memorable turns in the likes of Friday Night Lights, Chronicle, Fruitvale Station and most famously, Creed.
At the climax of that film – set in Goodison Park – Adonis Creed, son of the late Apollo Creed, finally earned the family name as he went the distance in a grueling fight against ‘Pretty’ Ricky Conlan (Tony Bellew) but with the world at his feet, where will ‘Baby Creed’ turn to next?
Well, it appears that we’re going back to the USSR because Sylvester Stallone looks like he’s taking inspiration from Rocky IV.
Rocky Balboa himself has been posting on Instagram regarding the sequel to Ryan Coogler’s superb film, and it’s very likely that we know what the film is going to be about.
In case you haven’t seen Rocky IV, the story sees Russian boxer Ivan Drago killing Apollo Creed in the ring.
We’re confident in saying that the new film will see Adonis looking to avenge his father’s death.
In this caption, Stallone writes: “Here’s a chance to stretch your imagination … HISTORY WILL ALWAYS REPEAT ITSELF IN ONE FORM OR ANOTHER, JUST GOT TO BE READY! … Sins of the Father…. #creed2 .
Only a few days ago, he teased the idea of Drago vs Creed: Part Two by saying: “Directing APOLLO AND DRAGO , The two best “cinema “boxers that ever lived!… Maybe it’s time to try to again?”
We’re 100% on board.
