Sparring partner calls Paulie Malignaggi out on his biggest lie

DAMNING

Niall McIntyre

Your move, Paulie.

Paulie Malignaggi has been adding fuel to the fire ever since he left Conor McGregor’s camp in an obvious huff, but another sparring partner, in Tiernan Bradley, has gone a long way to quenching that fire.

The Omagh man, who has been involved in the McGregor camp for the last few weeks, has delivered a few home truths, and has called Paulie Malignaggi to task on the smear trail he has blazed ever since his departure.

Bradley has claimed that Malignaggi’s ego was his fall-down in the McGregor camp, and has revealed the falsity in some of the revelations made by the 36-year-old American.

The most damning Malignaggi revelation of all, was that he “beat the brakes” off McGregor in their second spar, as he called for an unedited version of the spar to be released, on the back of a self complimentary Instagram posted by Conor McGregor, but none-too of Malignaggi.

Bradley, who watched the whole spar, claimed McGregor was a “clear winner” and was thoroughly impressive both by his boxing, and by self discipline throughout.

“It wasn’t a one-sided spar either way but I thought one was the clear winner overall and that was Conor. He was very calm, very professional and, honestly, he really impressed me on the day,” said Bradley in a revealing column with The Irish News.

“Paulie has done plenty of talking, but he could be talking himself into a hole when the footage comes out after the Mayweather fight,” added the Ulster man.

Bradley went on to question Malignaggi’s mentality in the camp, claiming that as a sparring partner of Conor McGregor’s, it was way off where it should have been.

“When you join a Conor McGregor camp, you know pictures are going to be released every day. Sometimes they might not be the most flattering.”

This Malignaggi stuff isn’t affecting them, they are down to business.

“I did some school sparring with him on the Thursday, the day Paulie left and it was as if nothing had happened.”
