A young man believed to be up-and-coming boxer Eamonn Magee Jr has been stabbed to death in west Belfast this morning.
The 22-year-old son of former world champion Eamonn Magee is thought to have been attacked in the Summerhill Park area of Twinbrook.
The 2-0 professional boxer was studying at the University of Ulster and is believed to have been taking steps to become an established personal trainer.
Members of the Belfast boxing community expressed their grief at the news this morning.

A PSNI spokesman said: “Police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the suspicious death of a man, aged in his 20s, in the Summerhill Park area of West Belfast in the early hours of Saturday, May 30.
“At this time police are treating this as a murder investigation. There are no further details at this time.”
