Are you a high roller? Then this is great news. If not, forget about it.
The fight might be ten weeks away but unless you are pulling in a serious weekly wage, you can forget about being ringside for Floyd Mayweather’s fight against Manny Pacquiao. The most eagerly anticipated boxing match in years has, understandably, driven the price of tickets through the roof.
As we told you over the weekend, the price on the secondary market for seats was already incredible, with ringside seats reported to be going for $25,000.
However, those in the know with the venue for the fight, the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, say that you need far deeper pockets than that to get up close to the action.
Bleacher Report carry some tweets from an ESPN staffer called Scott Spreitzer who not only has some quotes from promotor Bob Arum but who also had a brother who works in the Las Vegas casino business.
He reports that to even have a shot at a ticket requires a serious bank balance.
Bob Arum @ESPNLasVegas: To get ringside txs to Floyd/Manny, you must have at least a $250,000 credit line w/ MGM to even get consideration.

H/T my bro Mark Spreitzer (35 years in the LV casino biz) says the person must be willing to play the full 250k…not just have the line.

He also reports that Arum says NOBODY is getting a free ticket for the fight.
Per @BobArum: there will be ZERO comps for the #MayweatherPacquiao fight. No matter who you are. @ESPNLasVegas
