Ray Moylette is thrilled to confirm that his homecoming fight will be shown live on terrestrial television in Ireland.

It emerged on Wednesday night that TG4 will be showing Moylette’s upcoming WBC international lightweight title fight against Christian Uruzquieta live on December 7.

Moylette has fought in Ireland just once as a professional but he will have the whole country watching when he takes to the ring in his native Mayo for a monster night of Irish boxing.

Assassin Promotions got the broadcasting deal over the line, enabling fight fans without tickets to watch one of Ireland’s most promising talents put on a show live from the Royal Theatre in Castlebar.

Moylette is 11-0 as a professional and has four knockouts to his name since the transition from the amateur ranks last year.

The 28-year-old would break into the WBC rankings with a victory over Uruzquieta, a Mexican veteran who will represent Moylette’s toughest test to date.

Uruzquieta is 17-4-1 as a pro and has knocked out six opponents ahead of his trip to the west coast of Ireland next month.

Also on the fight card are Cork light-middleweight Gary ‘Spike’ O’Sullivan and Athy middleweight Roy Sheahan, with tickets still available for the event.
