18-year-old Monaghan boxer Aaron McKenna (3-0, 2 KO) earned his second win in the last three weeks after a devastating one-punch knockout of Keasen Freeman (4-2, 2 KO) at Fantasy Springs Casino, Indio, California.
McKenna dropped Freeman with a powerful right hand in the opening minute that sent the American crashing to the canvas. Freeman eventually found his way back to his feet but was waved off by the referee 2:06 into the first round.
The stoppage gave McKenna the third win of his professional career after last month’s victory over Jose Palacios and last year’s win over Travis Conley.
