Roll on 28 October.
Katie Taylor has been settling in to professional boxing pretty well, six bouts and six wins.
When fighting in Wembley Stadium on the Anthony Joshua undercard the Bray fighter won her first belt when she took home the WBA Inter-Continental lightweight title but now she will compete for a world title.
The 31-year-old will challenge for WBA lightweight title and will look to dethrone current champion Anahi Sanchez at the end of October.
Taylor’s promoter Eddie Hearn announced the bout at a press conference today as he fleshed out the undercard for the Anthony Joshua title fight against Kubrat Pulev at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff.
