For his tweet to confirm the fight, Conor McGregor used an image of Floyd senior – the height of disrespect to Jr who has won all 49 of his professional boxing fights to date.

Mayweather went with the more professional approach, releasing a video to confirm the appointment.

The event will solely be a boxing card with Mayweather Promotions running the show.
