Tyson Fury looking well as former heavyweight champion teases comeback

A much healthier Fury

Tyson Fury is looking great.

As divisive as he’s been at stages of his career, nobody wanted to see a talent like his wasted and Fury came dangerously close to throwing his legacy away.

With his licence suspended while serving a ban for an anti-doping offence, Fury ballooned up to a whopping 27 stone in his two years away from the ring and there remained a significant chance that we’d seen the last of the former heavyweight champion.

On more than one occasion, Fury teased his retirement but something persuaded him to hang around, get his licence back and deal with his UK Anti-Doping suspension.

Fury is back now and that’s a great thing for boxing.

After getting himself back in the gym and dedicating himself to a ketogenic diet, Fury has seen the weight fly off him and it’s plain to see.

While the 29-year-old showed that he’d lost his belly during an interview last month, Fury has lost even more weight since then and one look at his face in his latest Instagram video makes that abundantly clear.

Fury looked happy, healthy and focused on his comeback as he teased the announcement of his first fight since November 2015, when he defeated Wladimir Klitschko to become the lineal heavyweight champion and undisputed baddest man on the planet.

In his time away from the sport, he’s seen the likes of Anthony Joshua and Joseph Parker lift the belts that he never lost and while it might be several months before we see Fury competing for titles again, we’re clearly not too far away from his return.

“Any time now, I’m about to announce a massive, massive deal so y’all better wait for this,” Fury said.

“I’m really looking forward to getting in there, back under the lights with no shirt on all baby-oiled up and doing what I do best which is entertaining.

“Looking forward to some great press conferences this year and great fight build-ups. Some great fights ahead.

“The future’s big, the future’s bright, the future’s Fury.”
