Nick Blackwell has announced on social media this week that he is to retire from boxing.
The British middleweight, who spent several days in induced coma following his bout with Chris Eubank Jr last month, tweeted “that’s me done” when asked by a fan about a potential return to the sport.
@philipjperry@BoxingRegister no that’s me done I can’t put my friends and family and self through that again but I’ll still be involved
