Michael Conlan exactly as shredded as you’d expect ahead of sophomore professional bout

More ripped than jeans in the 90s

Only one more sleep.

After turning Madison Square Garden green on St. Patrick’s Day for his professional debut, Michael Conlan is heading to the Windy City hoping to cause a storm in the UIC Pavilion.

The Belfast pugilist is a heavy favourite to keep his pristine record intact against Alfredo Chanez, who holds a 4-4 pro record. The bookies have him at a staggering 1/500 with his opponent coming in as a 20/1 underdog.

To make matters worse for the Mexican, Conlan has the luck of the Irish with him, as well as some of that Mystic Mac magic dust that allows people to do stupid things like 13-second knockouts and sink basketball shots in MSG on your first attempt.

That’s it, he can’t possibly lose now.

The weigh-ins for the fight went down in Chi-Town on Thursday and it will come as little surprise to anyone that Conlan was in incredible shape.

If the fight was won on who was in better condition at the official weigh-ins, there would be only one winner. But that’s not how the fight game works.

These two warriors will settle it with their fists on Friday.
