The rise continues.
Whilst Conor McGregor is readying for his first ever professional boxing fight, Michael Conlan is an old hand at it by this stage – relatively at least.
The Belfast man embarked on his first pro bout just back in St. Patrick’s Day but he’s already racked up three wins and three knockouts since then.
Whilst his next opponent is still to be decided, Conlan will take to the ring again on September 22 in Arizona but, first off, he’s going to enjoy the showdown in Vegas and, for him, that starts on Wednesday along with renowned combat journalist Ariel Helwani.
Working on today's #themmahour lineup, but can confirm that budding Irish boxing star @mickconlan11 will be joining us live today. #eire

The MMA Hour will be bringing special edition shows live from Nevada this week and the first installment of them feature one of Ireland’s brightest emerging pro talents.
For those who don't know, Conlan is the young fighter who @TheNotoriousMMA walked out to the ring prior to his pro debut in March.

Conlan has already made alliances with Conor McGregor as the Irish go from strength to strength in pursuit of further acclaim and more titles and his appearance with Ariel Helwani should be a cracker.
Helwani has had Conor McGregor and John Kavanagh on the show numerous times before but The Notorious’ debut is truly something to be remembered because of the belief and energy McGregor showed even back then.
On Wednesday night, Michael Conlan will join The MMA Hour for his first time too and it promises to be intriguing.
You can watch the show here and it will stream at the following times (based on wherever the hell you are):
- 3pm (PT)
- 6pm (ET)
- 11pm (Irish time)
