We won’t have long to wait to see the Pac-Man’s return to boxing.

Manny Pacquiao has confirmed he will return to the ring in 2016, giving himself ample recovery time from the torn rotator cuff he suffered during the loss to Floyd Mayweather on May 2nd.

Pacquiao made the revelation on a trip to Indonesia. The pugilist is currently trying to get that country to reverse its decision to execute a Filipina woman, Mary Jane Veloso, on drug-smuggling charges.

“I’m ready to fight, next year, I’m fine, I can lift it,” he added, before raising his right arm to show how his shoulder is healing.

However, The 36-year-old may not be able to get a rematch against Mayweather. Money has publicly stated his plans to fight again in September while hinting that he may retire after the bout.
