We’re sure Floyd is wiping away his tears with $100 bills.
Manny Pacquiao has hailed the victory of the Philippines at the Miss Universe pageant as his nation’s revenge for the fighter’s defeat by Floyd Mayweather.
Pacquiao lost the long overdue bout with the undefeated Mayweather earlier this year but the 37-year-old reckons it’s even-Steven after Pia Wurtzbach’s triumph at the beauty contest.
The Miss Universe pageant was marred by a horrendous mix-up which saw host Steve Harvey announce the wrong winner before then handing the prize to Wurtzbach.
And Pacquiao, who at 37 plans to fight again in 2016 before retiring from the ring, hailed her ‘grace under pressure’ in the awkward situation.
‘Courage is grace under pressure – this is what Pia showed in the middle of the confusion and controversy that marked her coronation as the new Miss Universe.
‘Remember when I lost to Floyd last May, she made a promise to all of us Filipinos that she will avenge that defeat comes the Miss Universe pageant which she just has fulfilled.’
