David Lemieux has looked amazing ever since his defeat to Gennady Golovkin in 2015.
The Canadian middleweight has claimed three consecutive victories since that unification bout in New York but none will have been more satisfying than his crushing knockout of Curtis Stevens on Saturday night.
Lemieux returned to the city that never sleeps this weekend and didn’t take long to put his opponent to sleep with a legitimate knockout of the year candidate.
The scheduled 12-round middleweight bout lasted only eight minutes before Lemieux uncorked a left hook that was as sneaky as it was devastating.
The crushing shot arrived so quickly that it may require a second viewing below to fully appreciate its precision.

“I told you what I was going to do, and I did it,” Lemieux said after boosting his record to 37-3, with 33 of those victories coming by way of knockout.
And fight fans could do nothing but applaud the punch from the heavy-handed Montreal native.
That MUST be K.O of the year !!! MAN- Lemieux has some power!! Wishing Stevens well 😨 #LemieuxStevens
