The fight may not be booked yet, but you can already place a bet on the outcome of Conor McGregor vs Floyd Mayweather.
It started off as a joke, but we have never been closer to seeing the two combat sports superstars slug it out in a crossover megafight.
Although there are no signs that any sort of deal is in the works, Conor McGregor has stated that his next fight will be in the ring and that his focus is on fighting ‘Money’ with or without the UFC on board. Plus there’s the fact that Mayweather is actively engaging in the circus act on social media.
This is enough to get the discussion going and each time the fantasy fight gets seriously debated it seems to come back to the same point – if it takes place in a ring, Mayweather wins, anywhere else, it’s McGregor’s fight to lose.

McGregor has publicly stated that he wishes to step inside the ring with Mayweather, so it makes sense that the first Las Vegas casino to accept action on the fight is taking bets with this in mind.
Jeff Sherman, the Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook Manager confirmed on Twitter that the Westgate Resort and Casino is now accepting bets for the bout. As you might have expected, Mayweather is an overwhelming favourite to defeat the Dubliner in what would be his professional boxing debut.
There are two conditions for the bet though. It must be a boxing bout and it must take place by the end of May 2018. If you’re thinking about laying down some money, remember that it took ‘the Fight of the Century’ between Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao roughly a thousand years to get booked. So that’s something to keep in mind.

If the American odds system has left you bamboozled, this translates as Mayweather being 1/25 to win while McGregor’s an 11/1 underdog.
