Kash Ali was not a popular man in Liverpool last weekend.
Ali was disqualified midway through his heavyweight grudge match with hometown favourite David Price and left the arena soaked in beer.
The Birmingham fighter bit Price on multiple occasions and had a point taken for landing punches to the back of Price’s head before referee Mark Lyson finally saw enough of Ali’s antics and called the fight off.
Ali, who could be facing a lengthy ban once the British Boxing Board of Control investigate the incident, was showered with drinks from a furious crowd in Liverpool’s Echo Arena when he left the ring.

Price insists that he has no interest in a rematch with Ali, who has claimed that his “street mentality” led him to bite his opponent.
“It was out of order what happened. I thought it was a good fight. I had him hurt in the fifth, I could’ve stopped him, which I would’ve — I ended up wrestling him down. Stupid thing, what I did. Ridiculous. There’s no excuses for it,” Ali said to iFL TV.

“I think just the build-up for the fight — it’s my first time boxing on a big stage, I was so pumped up, I just wanted to fight. The street mentality kicked in. That was stupid.
“The worst thing is, it’s not like I was behind or getting my ass kicked or nothing. He even said to me afterwards, ‘You had me beat there.’ I just apologise to all the fans. I’m sorry to everyone. It won’t happen again.”
