So, Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather are fighting.
Did you know that? Just in case you missed the whole world tour and slurry of updates.
The pair are due to face off on 26 August and at the time of writing, we aren’t exactly sure how it will be broadcast in the U.K. and Ireland.
Stephen Espinoza of Showtime told SportsJOE that they are still in talks with two broadcasters that are bidding to show the fight on this side of the Atlantic.
Of course, it is more straightforward over Stateside. They know how they can watch Conor McGregor take on Floyd Mayweather even if it will cost the guts of $100.
Across the country, AMC Theatre chain will be showing the super-fight on the big screen and Irish cinemas could learn a thing or two from it.
A ticket to watch the fight still isn’t cheap though with adults paying $40.
FYI – Tickets are priced at $40 for Adults & Seniors (60+) and $25 for Children aged 2-12. pic.twitter.com/DW2PwFEJqS

The idea could translate well over in Ireland if cinemas were given permission to show the fight into the early hours of 27 August.
Pubs and nightclubs are usually not permitted to serve alcohol past 3 AM on fight night and with McGregor usually walking in circa five in the morning so why not watch it with a popcorn and drink in hand instead.
It wouldn’t be the first time that big sporting events have been shown in theatres across the country with the All-Ireland finals in both codes having been shown in Odeon cinemas since 2013 and Cineworld also broadcast the Wimbledon final back in 2011 when Novak Djokovic won his maiden crown at the All England Club.
